Japanese robotics and technology company Cyberdyne (which shares its name with the corporation from the Terminator franchise) has signed an agreement with Japan Airport Terminal of Tokyo to introduce next-generation robots in the Haneda Airport passenger terminals.
Japan Airport Terminal has been considering using advanced technology in passenger terminal buildings due to the country’s aging population, fewer children, and a decline in the working population while demand for air services in the Tokyo metropolitan area is expanding.
This partnership will see the demonstration of Japanese technology at Haneda Airport, quality services for customers that give them safety, security and convenience, and a healthy and comfortable working environment for airport employees.
A number of different robots developed and manufactured by Cyberdyne will be introduced at the airport, including the exoskeleton robot suit HAL (Hybrid Assistive Limb) for labor support, cleaning robots and transport robots.
