SMILE Plug can be used with its OLPC X0 3.0 low-cost tablet
Marvell has just showcased its Classroom 3.0 initiative at this year’s CES, featuring the SMILE Plug that can create a private Wi-Fi cloud for up to 60 people. The device was created in partnership with the Stanford University’s Mobile Inquiry Based Learning Environmentand is ideal for classroom environments. Using the SMILE Plug, teachers can easily monitor what each student is doing on a tablet or computer and even control the devices. Having a ‘micro cloud’ environment allows learning for students to be much more interactive as they can collaborate with peers and teachers.
