This type of cancer is the third most common cancer worldwide after lung and breast.

The current treatments that are available for bowel cancer either have a very low effectiveness of 40% to 60% or there are many side effects associated with it like tingling and nerve pains.

With these new techniques it is hoped that the researchers would be able to counter both scenarios. The research is aimed at previous studies to confirm that curcumin that is found in turmeric can enhance the ability of chemotherapy to kill bowel cancer cells.
