The research institute claims that it can be easily adapted for home theater, gaming and telepresence applications
Multiscreen setups for PC gaming are not new, but the latest MIT Media Lab‘s Infinity-by-Nine system may take the idea to a whole new level. The system generates blurry pictures of a video and then projects them separately on three big screens (refer to above image). This visual extension of the original content is said to produce a more immersive viewing experience for viewers by relying on the reduced sensitivity to detail in their peripheral vision.
