Crossville man introduces ‘LiftWalker’ invention

Difficulty by some physically afflicted individuals rising from a sitting position has become a massive problem and created an often unmetioned issue with an unintended consequence — a painful, career-shortening ordeal for assisting caregivers.

A Crossville man, Craig Weaver, believes he has come up with the answer and his patented LiftWalker, he predicts, will be a hot and popular item but those in the health care industry.

Caregivers in nursing homes and hospitals have the most muscular skeletal injuries of all occupations, primarily from lifting patients.

“Physical relief for individuals and reduced financial rehab costs are on the horizon because of a new, simple but potentially a far reaching solution,” said Weaver.
