An Israeli company says it’s developed the first 3D holographic technology that could open the doors to a new era in medicine.
The company is called Realview Imaging. The medical director says this technology allows surgeons to use live action, 3D holograms as a reference during surgery.
“What that does is that gives you the patient’s anatomy, the real patient’s anatomy in a position where it’s hyper realistic, you can see all of it, you can intuitively know where you are or what’s going on inside that anatomy in real time,” Dr. Elchanan Bruckheimer who works at Review Imaging Medical Center. Unlike other 3D systems, this technology doesn’t require special eyewear.
